If you know me even a little, you know that I love planning Disney vacations. If you're not aware, I have been vacationing in Disney since I was about 3 years old, stayed at 10 Disney resorts, eaten at countless restaurants across Disney property, and am currently a Disney World and Disneyland Annual Passholder. From planning trips for friends and family to planning trips for friends of friends, I have booked vacations for all types of people and ages. I have even caught myself on multiple occasions planning Disney trips that I know won't happen, but I do it "just to see how much it would be" or simply just because I'm bored and like to plan trips in my free time.
About a year ago while I was in school, I had an idea. My idea was crazy at the time because I was drowning in school, but I really wanted to be a legitimate Disney travel agent. So, I applied. I got declined. Then about six months ago, I applied to another agency. I got declined again. I thought, "maybe now just isn't the time." Obviously I was upset, but I knew that it would all happen in God's timing, not mine. Fast-forward to July of this year. Walt Disney's quote, "If you can dream it, you can do it" kept coming to my mind as I was sitting in my new house in a new state with no job. So, I hopped on the computer and decided to apply to another Disney Affiliate Travel Agency called Academy Travel Inc. I got an email within a week, asking to set up a phone interview. Naturally, I was ecstatic and nervous, trying not to get too excited since I had been declined twice by other travel agencies. The phone interview went well, and I was offered the job on the spot! What?! I could barely contain my excitement, as you can imagine.
First of all, I want to thank God for His timing. He has provided me with this job that will bring in a little bit of income, while I'm otherwise unemployed. Secondly, thank you, Walt, for the encouraging words! It sounds cheesy, but honestly, that famous quote is the reason I gained the courage to apply for this kind of job for the third time. I wasn't going to give up on a dream that I've had for years just because I got shut down by two agencies. Anyway, now that I'm a few weeks into this job and done with training, I'm eager to plan more Disney vacations. So, I'm going to explain below how my job works, what you need to do, what I'll do for you, and how it is completely FREE for you Disney vacationers.
You choose your vacation: Disney World, Disneyland, Disney's Aulani, Disney Cruise Line, or Adventures by Disney.
You contact me, telling me that you want to use my Disney knowledge to help you create the perfect vacation for you and your family (or friends).
I will set up a time to meet with you: in person, over FaceTime, or over the phone to discuss further details like your budget, your travel party, etc.
You leave as much of the planning to me as you wish! All of it, half of it, or some of it.
I will quote resorts, tickets, and resort+ticket packages for you, free of charge. If you want me to quote every resort on Disney property, I will absolutely do it.
I will book resort hotels, theme park tickets, dining, FastPasses, and more for you, free of charge. **This means, I will wake up at the crack of dawn on the day that your FastPass booking becomes available to snatch you the best ones. This means, you can sleep in while I do all of the work for you!**
I will customize and personalize your Disney vacation to fit your travel party's needs and wants. Do you want a vacation full of great rides, full of great meals, full of characters, or full of relaxation? You name it, I can do it!
I will give resort recommendations, restaurant recommendations, and FastPass recommendations, free of charge.
I will send a Disney surprise gift in the mail to you and your travel party a month before your vacation to get y'all excited for your trip! Also, free of charge.
I will be on call 24/7 for you while you're on vacation, booking lat minute dining or FastPasses that you might want, free of charge.
