Alright, so you've got your hotel booked and your trip is coming up in 60 days (or 30 days if you're not staying on Disney property)...now what? Book your FastPasses! Here is what you need to know about FastPasses in Disney World and why they're crucial to have.

1. Everything is on your MyDisneyExperience App.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I love that Disneyland still has paper FastPasses. While this still holds true, I love the convenience of having all of your FastPass information on your phone. This ensures that you don't lose your actual FastPasses, you can check the time of your FastPasses, and you can book FastPasses from wherever you are! Also, if you're staying on Disney property, you get a Magic Band (shown in the picture below) that has all of your FastPasses linked to it, which makes using FastPasses even more convenient!
2. You can get on attractions that usually have long waits.
For example: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Slinky Dog Dash, Space Mountain, Flight of Passage, and more.
3. You can sit with your party.
For attractions that offer a Single Rider line, you are not guaranteed to sit next to (or even close to) your party. However, FastPasses are booked for your entire party, so you will be sitting together.
4. Usually, you experience a different queue than the standby line.
Although this doesn't apply to every attraction and wouldn't be a "selling point" if you had to purchase FastPasses, it's neat to see the different queues for both Standby and FastPass lines. Normally, I would prefer the FastPass line over the Standby line for any attraction (because shorter lines are always better), but Peter Pan's Flight is the exception because it is the most creative and well-done queue in all of Disney World!
5. You can plan your days in the parks ahead of time.
Whenever you book your FastPasses ahead of time, you can also plan your dining reservations and any other things that you want to do in the parks. This pre-planning gives you a better idea of the flow of your days in the parks, which makes for a more relaxing vacation.
